Usage Guidelines

Before cleaning: Close the area to foot traffic, remove loose dirt and absorb any pools of oil. Put on chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing and eye or face protection before handling the concentrate.

Light floor cleaning: Add 8mL of Tile Plus to 1L of cool or cold water.

Heavy duty floor cleaning: Add 16mL of Tile Plus to 1L of cool or cold water.

1. Apply the diluted solution to the floor with a mop and bucket.
2. Allow 5 to 10 minutes for the cleaner to loosen grease and soil.
3. Do not allow the solution to dry on the floor.
4. Agitate the area using a stiff-bristle brush or suitable floor pad.
5. Pick up the dirty solution.
6. Rinse the floor thoroughly with clean water until no chemical or greasy residue remains.
7. Keep people off the floor until it is completely dry.

Important: Do not use Tile Plus undiluted. Do not mix it with hot water, acids, bleach, disinfectants or any other cleaning chemical.

FAQ

Q. The kitchen floor still feels greasy after mopping. Should I add more Tile Plus?

A. No. Remove loose oil first, use the heavy-duty dilution, allow 5 to 10 minutes, scrub, pick up the dirty solution and rinse well. Extra chemical without proper rinsing can leave more residue.

Q. The floor became slippery after cleaning. What should I do?

A. Keep the area closed and rinse it again with clean water. Slipperiness can come from grease that was not removed or detergent left behind after cleaning.

Q. Can Tile Plus be used on polished concrete, sealed floors or floor polish?

A. No, not as a default. Tile Plus is highly alkaline and should not be used on polished floors, painted coatings or floor finishes. Use a cleaner approved by the flooring supplier.

Q. Can I use Tile Plus on aluminium kick plates, checker plate or metal drains?

A. No. Keep it off metal surfaces, especially aluminium, zinc and tin. It can corrode the metal and may generate flammable hydrogen gas.

Q. Can I use hot water to remove grease faster?

A. No. Dilute Tile Plus with cool or cold water and never add it to hot water. Follow the stated dwell time and scrub the floor instead.

Q. Can Tile Plus be used in an automatic floor scrubber?

A. Only when the machine allows highly alkaline corrosive detergents.

Q. Will Tile Plus restore grout that still looks black after cleaning?

A. It can remove grease and ingrained soil, but it will not repair damaged grout or permanent staining. Scrub and rinse first, then inspect the dry grout before deciding whether restoration is needed.

Q. Can Tile Plus be used in a commercial kitchen or food-processing area?

A. Yes, on suitable floors after food is removed and the area is closed for cleaning. Rinse thoroughly before production resumes. Tile Plus is a degreaser, not a food-contact sanitiser.

Q. Can Tile Plus clean outdoor concrete around workshops or waste areas?

A. Yes, on unpainted and unpolished concrete after a small test. Control the rinse water and keep the product away from metal fittings, garden areas and stormwater drains.

Danger: Tile Plus is a highly corrosive alkaline concentrate. It may corrode metals and causes severe skin burns and eye damage.

Wear chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, enclosed footwear and eye or face protection.
Use in a well-ventilated area and avoid breathing spray or mist.
Keep only in the original labelled container.
Store locked up in a cool, dry and well-ventilated chemical-storage area.
Keep away from acids, bleach, chlorinating products and other cleaning chemicals.
Keep away from aluminium, zinc, tin, magnesium and their alloys.
Metal warning: Contact with aluminium, zinc or tin may damage the metal and generate flammable hydrogen gas. The corrosion inhibitor does not make Tile Plus suitable for cleaning metal surfaces.

Eye contact: Rinse cautiously with running water for several minutes and remove contact lenses when easy to do. Immediately contact the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 or a doctor.

Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing immediately and rinse the skin and hair with running water. Immediately contact the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 or a doctor.

If swallowed: Rinse the mouth, do not induce vomiting and give water only if the person is conscious. Immediately contact the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 or a doctor.

If inhaled: Move the person to fresh air and keep them comfortable for breathing. Seek urgent medical advice.

Spills: Restrict access, wear full protective equipment and contain the liquid with sand, vermiculite or another inert absorbent. Prevent concentrated product from entering stormwater drains or waterways and dispose of collected waste according to local requirements.
