Description

Oil and grease turn up wherever a site handles food, vehicles or machinery, and they are the soils an ordinary cleaner tends to smear rather than lift. Kitchens, supermarket aisles, workshop floors and healthcare service areas all pick up a greasy film that leaves surfaces looking dull and feeling tacky underfoot. Tempo HD is Whiteley's heavy-duty concentrate built for that problem.

The formula rapidly emulsifies common food fats, mineral oils and synthetic oils, so grease lifts off instead of moving around the surface. Because it is solvent-free, it works across the mix of surfaces a busy site throws at it, which is what lets one product cover so much of the cleaning list.

One concentrate for oil, grease and everyday soil

For a cleaning team, that range is the real value. Rather than stocking a separate floor cleaner, bench spray and degreaser, you dilute Tempo HD to each job from the one bottle, so the store cupboard holds less and the reorder list gets shorter. The current Safety Data Sheet and Product Data Sheet are available on this page, so you can match it to your own site requirements before you buy.

One cleaner instead of three: A single concentrate covers everyday floors, benches and heavier degreasing, so a cleaning team stops buying and storing a separate product for each task.

A 5Lt bottle that lasts: Because it dilutes right down for most jobs, one bottle makes up bucket after bucket of diluted cleaner, which keeps the cost per clean low and reorders less frequent.

Lifts grease that other cleaners smear: Its rapid emulsification pulls food fats, mineral oils and synthetic oils into the wash water, so greasy floors and benches clear instead of streaking.

Solvent-free formula: It contains no solvents, so it degreases without adding solvent fumes to the area being cleaned, which suits enclosed kitchens and food rooms.

No new equipment needed: It works with the machines and tools a cleaning team already uses, so bringing it in does not change the routine or add setup cost.

Usage Guidelines

Tempo HD is a concentrate, so dilute it to suit the job. The rates below are per litre of water.

Everyday floor cleaning: dilute 9mL per litre of water and run it through an auto scrubber for normal soil.

Heavier floor soil: dilute 16mL per litre and clean with a mop and bucket.

Bench-tops, tables, walls and cabinets: dilute 6mL per litre, apply with a trigger sprayer, then wipe off with a cloth.

Animal fats and food soils: dilute 40mL per litre, apply with a mop, sponge, scourer or sprayer, then rinse with potable water after use.

Degreasing machinery, parts and equipment: dilute 40mL per litre and apply with a sprayer.

Road and oil films on vehicles: dilute 10mL per litre and apply with a spray or brush.

Do not mix: do not mix Tempo HD with other chemicals unless the label or Safety Data Sheet states it can be done.

FAQ

Q. Is Tempo HD a disinfectant?

A. No, it is a detergent that removes soil, grease and food residue but makes no claim to kill germs or bacteria. On food-contact surfaces, clean with it first, then use a separate sanitiser, since leftover detergent can stop a sanitiser working.

Q. Do I need to rinse the floor after mopping with it?

A. For everyday floor and surface cleaning at the right dilution, you do not need to rinse. In food-preparation areas, rinse food-contact surfaces with potable water after use.

Q. Why do my floors look streaky or feel sticky after mopping?

A. Nearly always it is too much product or dirty mop water, not the cleaner itself. Measure the dilution, change the water once it turns cloudy, and give sticky areas a pass with clean water to clear the film.

Q. Can I just use dish soap in hot water for greasy floors instead?

A. Dish soap will shift light grease because it is a surfactant, but it foams, needs rinsing and leaves a residue that grabs dirt again quickly. For a one-off spill it is fine; for a floor you mop daily, a concentrate like this rinses cleaner and does not leave the soap film that makes floors re-soil.

Q. Can I use it on sealed timber, vinyl and tiled floors?

A. Yes, it suits most hard surfaces and there is no hard surface it must be kept off. The thing to watch is unsealed timber or unsealed stone, where bare surfaces can take up water; seal those or check with your flooring contractor first.
