Whiteley Resolve Dishclean is a concentrated manual dishwashing detergent built for hand washing in kitchens that get through a lot of dishes.

Usage Guidelines

How to dose it:
Resolve Dishclean is a concentrate, so add it to your wash water rather than using it neat. Whiteley's 30mL dispensing pump fits the 5Lt bottle and makes measuring simple.

Match the dose to how dirty the load is:

Light washing: 15mL, or half a pump, per 10 litres of water
Normal washing: 30mL, or one pump, per 10 litres of water
Heavy washing: 60mL, or two pumps, per 10 litres of water

Do not mix: Do not mix Resolve Dishclean with other chemicals

Q. Can I use Resolve Dishclean in an automatic dishwasher?

A. No, it is a manual dishwashing detergent made for washing up by hand in the sink. Automatic dishwashers need a low-foam machine detergent, so use one of those in the machine and keep Resolve Dishclean for hand washing.

Q. Does Resolve Dishclean sanitise or kill germs?

A. No, it cleans grease and food residue rather than sanitising, and it makes no germ-kill claim. It lifts soil and bacteria off the dish so they rinse away, so if you need to sanitise, follow the wash with a dedicated sanitiser.

Q. Is Resolve Dishclean the same as the old Applebright?

A. Yes, Resolve Dishclean is the current name for the detergent that used to be sold as Applebright. It is the same manual dishwashing concentrate, now under the Resolve name.

Q. Can I use it to clean benchtops and other surfaces, or only dishes?

A. Keep it for the sink, as Resolve Dishclean is made for washing dishes rather than general surface cleaning. For benchtops, floors and other surfaces, use a cleaner made for that job.

Q. Will it leave a cloudy film on glasses?

A. It rinses off completely, so glasses hand-washed in it come up clear. Cloudiness on glassware usually comes from hard water minerals or from not rinsing enough rather than from the detergent, so rinse in clean water and dry with a cloth for spotless glasses.

Q. Can I just use bicarb soda instead on greasy dishes?

A. Bicarb soda will lift light residue and odours, but it does not emulsify fat the way a dishwashing detergent does, so heavy grease and oily cookware still need Resolve Dishclean. For a lightly soiled plate with little grease, a bicarb paste and hot water will get you by.
