Description

Made for incontinence odour, not general cleaning

Incontinence odours are one of the harder smells to stay on top of, and a general-purpose cleaner is rarely built for them. Whiteley Odacon is a deodoriser made specifically for the urine and faecal odours that come with incontinence and human waste, supplied in a 5Lt pack so a care or cleaning team can keep a working supply on hand.

Key Futures:

Neutralises at the source, not a cover-up: it works on urine and faecal odours where they start, instead of masking them with fragrance.

Stops the stale-urine ammonia smell: it works on the process that turns urine into ammonia at the source, so the smell that lingers does not keep building.

Ready to use with no mixing: it is supplied neat, so there is no dilution to measure or get wrong partway through a busy round.

Water-based and solvent-free: a lighter formulation than solvent-based deodorisers, with no solvent smell left behind.

Where it can be used:

  • Healthcare and clinical environments
  • Aged care and assisted living facilities
  • Hospital wards and patient rooms
  • Bathrooms and shared amenities

Usage Guidelines

Dilution: ready to use. Spray Odacon neat, straight from the container or a refilled spray bottle.

How to apply:

Spray directly onto the pad, linen or surface where the odour is, as soon as you can after it occurs.
Spray incontinence pads and linen on removal, and soiled clothing, bedding, mattresses, rugs and bathroom areas as needed.
For a pad or linen that will be worn, spray it lightly and pre-test first with anyone who has known skin sensitivity.
Allow it to work on the odour rather than wiping it straight off.

FAQ

Q. Does spraying Odacon replace changing and washing soiled items?

A. No. Odacon is sprayed as you remove and deal with pads, linen and soiled items, not instead of changing, disposing of or laundering them. It controls the urine and faecal odour around that routine rather than doing the cleaning for you.

Q. Can I use Odacon on mattresses, bedding and clothing?

A. Yes. It is sprayed directly onto incontinence pads, linen, bedding, mattresses, rugs, soiled clothing and bathroom areas wherever urine or faecal odours occur. Apply it to the affected spot rather than into the air.

Q. Is bicarbonate of soda or vinegar just as good for incontinence odour?

A. For a light, fresh spot on washable bedding they can help, and laundering the item does most of the work. Odacon is made to be sprayed neat straight onto the source, including pads and linen, where bicarb needs time then vacuuming and vinegar can leave a smell of its own.

Q. Is Odacon an air freshener?

A. No. It is not designed to be sprayed into the room to perfume the air. Odacon goes onto the pad, linen or surface holding the odour, so it works on the smell at its source rather than covering the room.

Q. Does Odacon leave a strong perfumed smell?

A. No. It carries a light lavender scent rather than a heavy masking perfume, and it is water-based. The aim is a fresh, low-key result rather than a strong fragrance sitting on top of the odour.

Q. Does Odacon work on other smells like food or bin odours?

A. Odacon is made specifically for urine, faecal and body-waste odours. It is not marketed for general household smells such as food or bin odours, so for those a general deodoriser is the better choice.
