Whiteley Fresh Washroom Cleaner & Disinfectant 5Lt

A commercial washroom takes a beating. Soap scum films the basins, body fats and hard-water scale build up in the shower, and odour settles in around the toilet and urinal. Fresh is built for that room. It is a concentrated acidic cleaner and disinfectant that cleans the hard surfaces and disinfects them in the same pass, so a cleaning team carries one drum instead of a separate cleaner, descaler and disinfectant.

The formula goes to work on two fronts. Organic acids cut the chalky scale and hard-water marks that neutral cleaners leave behind, while surfactants loosen body fats, soap scum and general grime so they wipe or rinse away. Corrosion inhibitors let it clean chrome tapware and stainless fittings alongside the tiles and porcelain, and a citrus fragrance clears the stale washroom smell at its source rather than covering it over.

Fresh is supplied as a concentrate, so you set the strength to the job. One 5Lt drum makes a long run of working solution and covers a regular washroom round before you need to reorder.

Cleans and disinfects in one pass: dilute it for showers, basins, tiles and floors and it handles routine washroom cleaning and disinfecting together, so there is one product to buy, carry and store instead of three.

Cuts soap scum, body fats and scale: the acidic, surfactant formula breaks down the greasy, chalky build-up that neutral cleaners skate over, which means less scrubbing on the basins and shower.

Works on chrome and stainless fittings: corrosion inhibitors let you clean taps, fixtures and stainless urinals with the same product, without the pitting a bare acid would leave.

One drum, many strengths: a lighter dilution handles daily wipe-downs and a stronger one handles disinfecting and heavy soil, so a single 5Lt concentrate stretches a long way before you reorder.

Leaves the room citrus fresh: it lifts the soap scum and scale that hold odour, then finishes with a citrus scent, so the washroom smells clean rather than chemical.

Where Fresh can be used

Fresh suits washroom and bathroom hard surfaces: toilets and urinals, basins, showers, wall and floor tiles, glazed and porcelain surfaces, chrome tapware and stainless fittings. It also handles outdoor concrete where a strong acidic clean is wanted.

Because it is acidic, keep Fresh off acid-sensitive surfaces. It etches and dulls calcium-based stone such as marble, limestone and terrazzo, dulls polished concrete, and can discolour painted surfaces. Use a pH-neutral cleaner on those instead.

Fresh is a concentrate. Dilute it for surfaces and use it neat in the toilet. Mix into water, apply, and give it time to work before removing.

Showers, basins, tiles and walls: dilute 50mL per litre of water for daily cleaning and spray and wipe work, or 100mL per litre for heavier soil. Apply, then wipe off.
Disinfecting hard surfaces: dilute 100mL per litre of water, apply to a pre-cleaned surface, and leave it wet for 10 minutes before wiping off.
Toilet bowls and urinals: use neat. Apply under the rim, leave for 10 minutes, then flush. Scrub with a brush for heavy staining.
Floors: dilute 50mL per litre of water, mop over, and let it lift the soil before removing.
Outdoor concrete: use neat, scrub the surface, then rinse off with water.
Do not mix Fresh with other chemicals. It is acidic, so never combine it with bleach or chlorine cleaners: the reaction releases hazardous chlorine gas. Use Fresh on its own, and rinse a surface before switching to another product.

Fresh is a concentrated acidic cleaner. Handle the concentrate with care and follow the label directions.

Hazard classification: Signal word DANGER. Causes serious eye damage. Causes skin irritation.

Protection: wear protective gloves and eye protection when handling or decanting the concentrate. Use in a well ventilated area. Wash your hands thoroughly after use.

First aid: if in eyes, hold the eyelids apart and rinse with running water for at least 15 minutes, then get medical advice. If on skin, remove contaminated clothing and rinse the skin with water, and get medical advice if irritation continues. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting, give water if the person is conscious, and contact the Poisons Information Centre on 131 126 or a doctor.

Storage: store in the original container in a cool, dry, well ventilated place. Keep the container tightly sealed.

Spills: wear protective clothing and restrict access. Contain the spill with an absorbent such as sand or other inert material, and keep it out of stormwater drains and waterways. Wash the residue to sewer with plenty of water.

Environmental and disposal: dispose of in accordance with local council and regulatory requirements. Do not pour concentrated product into stormwater drains. Diluted solution can normally go to sewer with plenty of water.
