Whiteley Fabrisan Carpet and Fabric Sanitiser and Deodoriser 5Lt

Persistent urine, damp and water-damage odours can remain in carpet and upholstery after visible soil has been removed. Whiteley Fabrisan is a specialised carpet and fabric sanitiser and deodoriser for treating difficult odours and supporting restoration work on compatible soft surfaces.

The pH 6.5 formula is suitable for most carpets and fabrics, including Teflon-treated carpet and fabric, when used as directed. Fabrisan is applied after the affected area has been cleaned, then allowed to dry before the residue is removed by vacuuming.

Carpet Odour Treatment for Urine and Water Damage

Persistent urine odours: Treats difficult urine smells after the affected carpet or fabric has been cleaned.

Water-damage restoration: Supports professional treatment of carpet and fabric affected by clean-water flooding or water damage.

Most carpet and fabric types: Whiteley identifies Fabrisan for most carpets and fabrics, including Teflon-treated fibres.

Longer-lasting odour control: The formulation is intended to provide ongoing protection rather than only adding a short-lived room fragrance.

Post-cleaning application: Apply Fabrisan separately after spot cleaning or extraction, then allow the treated area to dry and vacuum thoroughly.

Where It Can Be Used

Whiteley Fabrisan is used where urine, damp or water-damage odours remain in wet-cleanable carpet, upholstery and fabric.

• Residential carpet affected by pet or human urine odours

Before treatment: Vacuum the area and remove as much loose or excess soil as possible. Pre-test Fabrisan on a small inconspicuous area and check for colour or texture change.

1. Clean or extract visible soil using the method and cleaning product specified for the carpet or fabric.
2. Apply undiluted Fabrisan directly to the affected area using a trigger spray.
3. Gently work the product into the carpet pile or wet-cleanable fabric.
4. Blot away excess liquid with a clean, colourfast absorbent cloth.
5. Allow the treated area to dry completely.
6. Vacuum the dry area thoroughly to remove residue.

Old urine contamination: Where urine has penetrated deeply, the cleaning and treatment must reach the contaminated backing or underlay. Professional sub-surface extraction or replacement of affected underlay may be required.

Spot Cleaning: Use undiluted.

Carpet extraction machines: Do not add Fabrisan to the machine solution tank.

Important: Do not mix Fabrisan with other chemicals.

Handling information: The current SDS does not classify Fabrisan as a dangerous substance or mixture under GHS criteria, but eye contact may cause irritation, pain and redness.

Wear safety glasses or chemical-resistant goggles when splashing may occur.
Wear nitrile gloves or similar gloves to reduce skin contact.
Use in a well-ventilated area.
Wash hands thoroughly after handling.
Keep the product in its original container with the lid tightly sealed.
Store below 30°C in a cool, dry and well-ventilated area.
Do not mix Fabrisan with other chemicals.
If the product contacts eyes: Hold the eyelids apart and rinse continuously with running water. Obtain medical advice if irritation occurs.

If the product contacts skin: Remove contaminated clothing and rinse the skin and hair with running water. Obtain medical advice if irritation occurs.

If swallowed: Do not induce vomiting. Give water to drink when the person is conscious and contact the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 or a doctor.

Spills: Restrict access, wear suitable protective clothing and absorb the liquid with an inert material. Prevent the spill from entering stormwater drains or waterways and dispose of collected material according to local requirements.

Environmental and disposal information: Empty containers may be disposed of through general waste or rinsed thoroughly and recycled through an accepted collection service.

Transport classification: Not classified as Dangerous Goods under the Australian Dangerous Goods Code.
