Description

Routine cleaning can leave a washroom looking clean while unpleasant smells return later in the day. Whiteley Florogen Original is a concentrated alcohol-based surface and space deodoriser made for long-lasting odour control after cleaning.

The residual perfume can deodorise for 24 hours or longer in some areas, particularly when used behind toilets, under sinks, behind furniture and inside waste bins after they have been cleaned. Florogen also kills 99.9% of bacteria and increases hygiene in the immediate area of use.

Long-Lasting Control for Odours That Keep Returning

Removes unwanted odours: Helps restore a fresher environment in washrooms, waste areas and shared facilities.

24-hour residual deodorisation: The surface perfume can remain effective for 24 hours or longer in some areas.

Kills 99.9% of bacteria: Improves hygiene in the immediate area where Florogen is used.

Hospital strength odour control: Provides stronger deodorising performance for persistent commercial odours.

Space or surface use: Suitable for freshening the surrounding area or treating protected surfaces where fragrance can remain longer.

Where It Can Be Used

Florogen Original is suited to areas where odours return between scheduled cleaning visits.

  • Behind toilets and urinals in public, staff and accessible washrooms
  • Under sinks, vanities and washbasins
  • Behind desks, cabinets and suitable furniture
  • Inside waste bins after they have been emptied and cleaned
  • Commercial bin and waste-storage areas
  • Office and workplace amenities
  • School toilets, staff amenities and change rooms
  • Gym and sporting-facility change rooms
  • Hotel, motel and accommodation bathrooms
  • Aged-care and healthcare washrooms and utility areas
  • Factory, warehouse and commercial-building amenities
  • Household bathrooms, toilets and laundries

Important: Florogen controls odours after cleaning. It does not remove urine scale, blocked-drain smells, hidden spills or other sources that still require cleaning, maintenance or repair. It is not a replacement for an appropriate disinfectant where surface disinfection is required.

Usage Guidelines

Dilution: Use Florogen Original neat. Do not dilute.

1.Clean the area and remove the source of visible soil or waste.
2. For longer-lasting deodorisation, apply a small amount behind toilets, under sinks, behind desks or furniture, or inside waste bins after cleaning.
3. Florogen may also be used as a space deodoriser. Avoid direct inhalation of the atomised spray and use only with good ventilation.
4. Allow the treated area to remain ventilated after application.
5. Close the spray bottle and 5Lt container securely after use.

Surface check: Test a small hidden area before applying Florogen to painted, polished, coated or unfamiliar surfaces.

Important: Do not spray towards people or animals. Keep away from food, food-contact surfaces, flames, sparks, pilot lights and hot equipment.

FAQ

Q. The washroom smells again a few hours after cleaning. What should I do?

A. Check that the odour source has been cleaned first, then apply Florogen behind toilets or under sinks. These protected areas help the residual perfume remain effective for longer.

Q. The urine smell keeps returning even after Florogen is applied. Do I need to use more?

A. No. Repeated spraying will not fix urine scale, contaminated grout, a leaking toilet seal or a drain problem. Deep-clean the affected area and arrange maintenance when the source remains.

Q. The bin room still smells after the rubbish is removed. Where should Florogen be used?

A. Clean spills, bins, floors and drains first. Apply Florogen inside cleaned waste bins or to a suitable protected surface, then check ventilation and waste collection if the smell keeps returning.

Q. Can Florogen Original be diluted with water?

A. No. Use Florogen Original neat as supplied.

Q. Is surface application better than spraying it into the middle of the room?

A. Yes, when longer-lasting deodorisation is the priority. Apply a small amount behind toilets, under sinks or behind furniture, and avoid breathing atomised spray.

Q. Does the 99.9% bacteria claim mean Florogen replaces disinfectant?

A. No. Florogen is a surface and space deodoriser. Use an appropriate disinfectant when a surface must be disinfected.

Q. Can Florogen be used on carpet, curtains or upholstered furniture?

A. Do not treat fabrics as a standard use. Choose a fabric-safe deodoriser or test a small hidden area before considering use on an unfamiliar material.

Q. Can Florogen be used near a gas heater, pilot light or open flame?

A. No. Florogen is flammable. Keep the product and spray away from heat, sparks, flames, pilot lights and hot surfaces.

Q. Can Florogen be sprayed while people are still in the room?

A. Avoid spraying towards people. Use the smallest practical amount with good ventilation and stop immediately if anyone experiences discomfort from the mist or fragrance.
