Gloss and fingerprint control for visible metalwork

Stainless steel and aluminium can show fingerprints, smears and dull marks quickly, especially on lift panels, handrails and public area metalwork.

Agar Steel Shine is a water-based cleaner and polish for stainless steel and aluminium surfaces. It leaves a glossy protective film that makes finger marks, smears and light marking easier to wipe away during regular cleaning.

Use it on visible metal surfaces such as lift panels, finger plates, architraves, handrails, lobby panels and stainless steel appliance fronts. Apply lightly, spread evenly, let the surface dry and buff with a clean dry cloth.

Do not use Steel Shine on walking surfaces, glass, mirrors, food preparation surfaces or any area where a polished oil film could create a slip, hygiene or visibility issue.

How the Product Works

Steel Shine is an emulsion of white oils and silicones in water.

When applied thinly to stainless steel or aluminium, it leaves a smooth glossy film over the metal. That film protects the surface from fingerprints, staining and light marking.

The finish also makes daily wiping easier. Instead of marks gripping straight onto the metal, many smears can be removed with a soft cloth during routine cleaning.

Where It Can Be Used

• Suitable for stainless steel and aluminium surfaces that need a polished, protected finish.
• Useful on lift panels, lift doors, finger plates, push plates, architraves, handrails and lobby metalwork.
• Can be used on stainless steel appliance fronts, refrigerators, public area panels and interior architectural metal surfaces.
• Suitable for high-touch metalwork where fingerprints, smears and light marks need to wipe away more easily.

NOTE: Do not apply Steel Shine to food preparation benches, chopping surfaces, floors, stair nosings, walking surfaces, glass, mirrors or any surface where a polished oil film may create a slip, hygiene or visibility issue. Test delicate, coated or unknown finishes before full application.

Use Steel Shine neat. Do not add water.

If the metal is heavily soiled, clean it first with a suitable detergent and let the surface dry.

Spray Steel Shine onto the metal and spread it quickly over the whole surface with a cloth. Apply it lightly and evenly.

Allow the surface to dry, then buff lightly with a clean dry cloth. Do not use the same cloth used for applying the product.

Use a small amount first. Over-application can leave the surface oily or streaky and will take longer to buff back.
