Research Products All Round 5L Encapsulating Carpet Shampoo

Research Products All Round 5L is a low-moisture encapsulating carpet shampoo developed for commercial carpet cleaning where greasy soil, traffic marks and embedded dirt need to be removed without heavily wetting the carpet.

The formula combines cleaning solvents with Cleangard soil-protection polymer technology. During cleaning, soil is held within the drying residue so it can be removed by dry vacuuming after the carpet has dried. The non-tacky encapsulation process also helps reduce the residue that can contribute to rapid resoiling.

All Round is suitable for both wool and synthetic carpet fibres and can also be diluted for localised upholstery and carpet spotting. Its primary application is bonnet cleaning, with manufacturer guidance also supporting use with shampoo machines, Duplex, Rotawash and Wizard machines.

Low-Moisture Cleaning for Commercial Carpets

All Round produces a light, low-moisture dry foam rather than heavily saturating the carpet. This makes it useful in commercial environments where drying time and access to the cleaned area are important.

The formulation is particularly suited to greasy and heavily soiled carpet. It contains solvents to help remove oily soil, brightens difficult-to-clean fibres and can remove some stains that might otherwise require a separate spotting step before shampooing.

For best results, vacuum the carpet thoroughly before cleaning, select the dilution according to the level of soil, pre-test in an inconspicuous area and allow the carpet to dry before dry vacuuming to remove the encapsulated soil.

Carpet shampooing: Thoroughly vacuum the carpet before cleaning.

Heavy soil: Dilute 1 part All Round with 15 parts water.

Medium soil: Dilute 1 part All Round with 25 parts water.

Light soil: Dilute 1 part All Round with 40 parts water.

Pre-test: Test the diluted solution on an inconspicuous area before general use.

Bonnet cleaning: Pre-spray approximately 10–20m² of carpet. Soak the bonnet or pad in diluted solution, attach it to a slow-speed rotary machine and work the carpet to produce a light foam.

Cleaning pattern: Work the machine across the area in one direction and then across it again from the opposite direction for even coverage.

After cleaning: Allow the carpet to dry completely, then dry vacuum to remove the encapsulated soil residue before reopening the area to traffic.

Carpet spotting: Dilute 1 part All Round with 5 parts water. Remove excess liquid or solid soil first, apply from the outer edge of the stain towards the centre and avoid over-saturating the carpet. Allow approximately 2 minutes before blotting with a clean wet white towel. Rinse the treated area with cold water and blot or extract.

Chemical compatibility: Do not mix All Round with other chemicals, including deodorisers.
