Description
Description
The Festool MINI and MIDI dust extractors have used different filter bags over the years, so it's worth checking which version you own before ordering. This MyVac 10-pack is made for the earlier CT and CTL MINI and MIDI models, manufactured up to 2018. The bags replace Festool part number 498410 for the MINI and 498411 for the MIDI.
Each bag is made from five layers of non-woven synthetic material, allowing air to pass through while collecting dry sawdust, sanding dust and workshop debris. The edges are heat-pressed together to form a strong collection pouch that opens inside the extractor as it fills.
The cardboard mounting collar holds the bag at the dust inlet. When the bag is ready for disposal, a folding tab covers the opening to help keep collected dust inside during removal.
Choosing the right Festool MINI or MIDI dust bag
For older MINI extractors, the original Festool bag reference is SC FIS-CT MINI/5, part number 498410. Earlier MIDI machines use SC FIS-CT MIDI/5, part number 498411.
The redesigned MINI I and MIDI I extractors introduced in 2019 use a different filter bag, Festool part number 204308. These MyVac bags are intended for the earlier machines, not the newer MINI I and MIDI I versions.
Bag construction, dimensions and pack contents
The cardboard mounting collar measures 25 cm high and 13 cm wide, with a 60 mm diameter inlet. Each flexible collection bag measures 58 x 22 cm.
The pack contains ten disposable MyVac dust bags, providing replacements for regular woodworking, sanding and general dry workshop cleaning.
Changing and disposing of a full bag
Switch off and unplug the extractor before opening the container. Fold the cardboard tab over the used bag's opening, remove the bag and dispose of it appropriately. Seat the new bag's collar at the dust inlet, allowing the pouch to open inside the container before closing the machine.
These bags are intended for dry dust collection. Remove the bag before wet vacuuming and follow the extractor manual for the correct wet collection arrangement.
