When the bag light comes on or the suction starts dropping on your ducted system, a fresh bag is the quick fix. These MyVac ducted vacuum bags are a compatible replacement made to suit most ducted and central vacuum systems with a 35mm to 50mm inlet, so one bag covers a wide range of machines from brands like Astrovac, Pullman, Valet and Volta.

The bag is made from multi-layer SMS synthetic fabric, built up in spunbond, meltblown and spunbond layers. Those fine layers hold onto fine dust, pollen and other small particles while air keeps flowing through, so your system keeps its pull deeper into the fill. As the bag fills, the flexible material spreads into the bag chamber to make the most of the space.

Synthetic bags also outlast paper. They resist tearing, they clog more slowly, and they can last up to 50% longer than a paper bag, depending on how often you vacuum and what you pick up. Each bag has a heavy-duty cardboard collar with a rubber seal for a firm connection, and a sealing tab that traps the dust inside when you pull the old bag out.

Q. Do I need to wait until the bag is completely full before changing it?

A. No. Change it when suction starts to drop or the bag is heavily loaded. Fine dust can restrict airflow before the bag looks completely full.

Q. Can I empty and reuse these True-Flow bags?

A. No. These are disposable synthetic dust bags. Use the sealing tab when removing a used bag and fit a fresh one.

Q. Why is there dust outside the bag inside the vacuum unit?

A. Check that the cardboard collar is fully seated and the rubber seal is snug around the inlet. A loose or misaligned collar can let dust bypass the bag.

Q. Can I use these bags for plaster or other very fine dry dust?

A. Yes for normal dry fine dust, but very fine powder can load the bag sooner and reduce airflow. Do not use these bags as a substitute for a vacuum rated for hazardous dust.

Q. Should I change the bag if the vacuum starts to smell before it is full?

A. Yes. Pet hair, food crumbs and other debris can create odours before the bag reaches full capacity. Fit a fresh bag if the smell is coming from the collected debris.

Q. Why has the bag stopped filling properly even though there is still space inside it?

A. Check the inlet and ducting for a restriction and make sure the collar has not shifted. Fine dust can also load the bag material and reduce airflow before the bag is physically full.
