Description

Mild acid carpet spotter for coffee, tea, wine and browning stains

Coffee, tea, red wine, beer, urine and berry spills can leave dark carpet marks that do not always respond well to a normal carpet cleaner. These stains need the right spot treatment, especially when the mark has soaked into the fibre or started to dry.

Agar Tannex is a mild acid carpet spotter used on carpets, upholstery and laundry fabrics. It helps remove stains from coffee, tea, beer, urine, berry and red wine spills.

Tannex is also useful on water stains and brown marks caused by jute stain browning from carpet backing fibres. Carpet cleaners may also use it after some alkaline carpet treatments to bring the carpet back closer to the right balance.

Use it as a spot treatment, not as a full carpet cleaner. Pre-test first, remove loose soil or liquid, treat the remaining mark and rinse the area with water after spotting.

How the Product Works

Tannex works by using mild acidity to target stains that respond to an acidic carpet spotter.

Drink stains like coffee, tea, beer, berries and red wine can leave colour in carpet fibres. Tannex helps loosen these marks so they can be blotted from the carpet instead of being rubbed deeper into the pile.

It can also help with brown water marks and jute browning. These marks often appear when moisture draws colour from carpet backing fibres up into the face of the carpet.

After treatment, the area is rinsed with water so leftover product and loosened stain are removed from the carpet.

Usage Guidelines

Absorb liquid spillages and scrape up or vacuum solid soilage before applying TANNEX.
Apply neat TANNEX from a spraygun directly onto the remaining stain or spot.
Do not over-wet the carpet.
Gently work the TANNEX into the stain working from the outside towards the centre.
After allowing time to react, blot out the stain with a clean white cloth or paper towel.
Rinse area with water after spotting.
Results are always best when spillages are cleaned promptly.
If any stain remains that cannot be removed with TANNEX, it may be necessary to bleach the stain out by using COFFEE STAIN REMOVER.
