Description

In a commercial kitchen, a hotel foyer or a lift lobby, stainless steel shows every finger mark, smear and water spot within hours of a clean. Agar Stainless Steel Oil is a mineral oil blend that goes on after cleaning to bring back an even shine and leave a thin protective film on the metal. The 5Lt pack covers a lot of panels, so one container keeps a run of appliances and fixtures looking maintained for weeks.

How the oil hides finger marks

Wiped on as a very thin film, the oil dries to an invisible layer that sits on the steel rather than soaking in. That film hides finger marks and smears and lets fresh ones wipe away with a soft cloth, which cuts how often a panel needs a full clean. Kept light and buffed to an even finish it holds a clean look between cleans, while laid on too heavily it can collect dust.

Restores an even shine: Wiped on and buffed, the oil lifts the flat, dull look off stainless steel and evens the finish across the whole panel.

Resists fresh finger marks: The dried film holds off finger marks and smears, so busy fridge doors and lift panels stay presentable for longer between cleans.

Marks wipe off with less effort: Fresh smears sit on the oil film instead of the bare steel, so a soft cloth clears them without repeat scrubbing.

5Lt covers large sites economically: One bulk container treats the stainless run across a kitchen, servery or foyer, which suits contract cleaners working several assets in a shift.

Ready to use from the container: No mixing or dilution, so staff apply it the same way every time with a cloth and a few minutes to dry.

Where it can be used:

  • Stainless steel panels in buildings, offices and hospitality sites
  • Stainless steel around lifts, doorways and escalators
  • Appliance exteriors such as refrigerator doors, dishwasher fronts and oven fronts

Not suitable for: Food contact surfaces.

Usage Guidelines

Before you start: Clean the surface and let it dry, so the oil goes onto bare, dry steel.

1. Put a small amount of oil onto a clean, dry cloth or applicator pad.
2. Wipe a thin, even film over the stainless steel, working along the grain.
3. Leave it about five minutes to dry.
4. Buff with a clean, dry cloth to even out the film.
5. If any dry streaks show, add a little more oil to those spots and buff again.
6. Keep the film light, because too much oil can collect dust.

Frequency:
Regular application helps maintain the appearance and protective layer of stainless steel surfaces. Reapply as needed based on usage and environmental conditions.

FAQ

Q. How is this different from wiping stainless steel with olive oil or vinegar?

A. It is a mineral oil blend made for stainless steel, so it dries to a thin, even film that resists finger marks and buffs out clear. Kitchen oil or vinegar can do a quick job, but this is formulated to sit on panels and appliance fronts as a stable protective film.

Q. Can I use Agar Stainless Steel Oil on food contact surfaces?

A. No. Keep it to external stainless steel such as appliance fronts, panels and lift doors, not benches, servery tops or anything that touches food. It is a mineral oil blend meant to sit on the surface as a film, which is why food contact areas are excluded.

Q. Will it leave a greasy film or make surfaces attract dust?

A. Not if you apply it thinly and buff it off. The coat should be light and even, because too much oil left on the surface can collect dust. Wipe a thin film and polish away any excess with a dry cloth.

Q. How do I apply it without leaving streaks?

A. Wipe a thin film on with a clean cloth, leave it about five minutes to dry, then buff with a dry cloth to even it out. If dry streaks show, add a little more oil to those spots and buff again. Working along the grain gives a cleaner finish.

Q. Does it clean the surface, or do I clean first?

A. Clean first. This is a polish and protectant, not a degreaser, so remove grease, food and loose dirt with a suitable cleaner and let the surface dry before applying the oil. A clean, dry panel is what gives the even shine.

Q. How often do I need to reapply it?

A. Reapply as the shine and finger mark resistance fade, which depends on how much the surface is touched and cleaned. High traffic panels like lift doors and fridge fronts need it more often than quieter fixtures. A light coat and buff restores the film.
