A polished floor stops looking polished long before it stops being clean. The gloss flattens out along the lanes where people actually walk, because that is where the coating of polish is worn away by foot traffic. The usual fix is two jobs on two separate visits: clean the floor one night, then come back and put polish down another.

Agar Scrub 'N' Shine is a concentrated wash and polish detergent that does both out of the one bucket. It washes the floor clean and applies floor polish in the same step, replenishing the film that traffic has taken off. Once the floor is dry, a buffing pass works that film up to a super glossy shine.

Autoscrubbing: Dilute Scrub 'N' Shine to between 1 in 80 and 1 in 100 parts with water, using the stronger rate on floors that are more heavily soiled. Scrub or mop the floor clean.

Finishing after autoscrubbing: Do not rinse after cleaning. Let the floor dry, then buff it to a high shine. Any machine can be used for the buffing pass.

Damp mopping: Dust mop or sweep the floor first. Dilute Scrub 'N' Shine to between 1 in 40 and 1 in 80, then mop the floor clean.

Finishing after damp mopping: Do not rinse after cleaning. Allow the floor to dry, then buff it to a high shine.

Spray buffing: Dilute Scrub 'N' Shine to between 1 in 15 and 1 in 50. Spray the diluted mix lightly over about a square metre of floor, buff that area until it is dry, then work across the whole floor section by section.

Finishing after spray buffing: Dust mop the floor to collect the dust and dirt left along the edges.

Do not mix: Do not mix Scrub 'N' Shine with other chemicals.
