Sanitising after cleaning in food preparation areas

Kitchen benches, chopping boards, utensils, equipment and floors need more than a quick wipe during service. Food residue, grease and detergent must be removed first so the sanitising step can do its job properly.

Agar Ready 2 Go is a ready to use rinse free food safe sanitiser for cleaned surfaces in commercial kitchens and food processing areas. It suits cleaned benches, tables, chopping boards, utensils, pots, pans, equipment and floors.

Use it after detergent cleaning and rinsing. Apply Ready 2 Go to the cleaned surface, leave it for at least 5 minutes, then let the surface drain before food preparation or processing starts again.

Do not use Ready 2 Go as a detergent, do not mix it with soap or other chemicals and do not allow direct contact with foodstuffs.

How the Product Works

Ready 2 Go is a sanitiser, not a cleaner. The surface still needs to be washed first so food residue, grease and soil are removed before sanitising.

The product is based on benzalkonium chloride and is supplied ready for use. No measuring or dilution is needed, which makes it easier for staff to follow the same process each time.

Contact time matters. Leave the product on the cleaned surface for at least 5 minutes, then allow the surface to drain before food work resumes.

Scrape or remove loose food residue from the surface.
Wash the surface with detergent to remove grease, soil and food residue.
Rinse away detergent and loosened residue.
Allow excess water to drain.
Keep direct contact with foodstuffs away during application.
Leave the product on the surface for at least 5 minutes.
Do not rinse after application.
Allow the treated surface to dry before food preparation or processing resumes.
If decanting, use a clean, dry and correctly labelled container.
Do not top up old Ready 2 Go with fresh Ready 2 Go.
Do not mix with soap, detergent or any other chemical.

- Inhalation:
First aid is not generally required. If in doubt contact a Poisons Information Centre or a doctor.
- Skin Contact:
Irritation is unlikely. However, if irritation does occur, flush with lukewarm, gently flowing water for 5 minutes or until chemical is removed.
- Eye Contact:
Immediately flush the contaminated eye(s) with lukewarm, gently flowing water for 5 minutes or until the product is removed, while holding the eyelid(s) open. Take special care if exposed person is wearing contact lenses. If irritation occurs, obtain medical advice.
- Ingestion:
First aid is not generally required. Seek medical attention if you feel unwell.
