Agar Powerquat Food-Grade Quaternary Concentrated Sanitiser 5Lt
Agar Powerquat is a 5Lt food-grade quaternary sanitiser for controlling bacteria on hard surfaces.
It is supplied as a concentrate and made for sanitising food-contact surfaces and equipment in kitchens and food processing plants, not as a general-purpose sanitiser.
Diluted to 1 in 150 it sanitises with no rinse, so treated surfaces only need draining before use.

Description
Description
In a working kitchen or a food processing plant, the sanitising step is usually the one that holds up the clean-down. Most sanitisers have to be rinsed off with potable water once they have done their work, which means going back over every bench and machine a second time before the line can start again.
Agar Powerquat is a food-grade quaternary sanitiser, supplied as a concentrate that you dilute for use. It is made for food and beverage environments rather than general cleaning, and it is used across hard surfaces, food equipment, floors, walls and drains.
As a twin-chain quaternary sanitiser it also carries some surface-active properties, so the solution wets and spreads across a surface instead of beading up and running off. It is odourless, which matters where a scented product could taint what is being made, and it is low-foaming. The concentrate is stable to light and heat, so it holds its strength while it sits in the drum.
Why food sites reach for a no-rinse sanitiser
The draw for a food operation is the routine it allows. At its no-rinse rate the sanitiser is left to drain rather than wiped off with a second rinse pass, so a cleaned surface goes back into service faster. For a cleaning team working against a change-over clock, that is one less trip across every bench and machine.
One drum makes a lot of solution: Powerquat is a concentrate, so a single 5Lt drum dilutes out to a large volume of working solution and a food site gets through fewer deliveries across the year.
No scent to carry into food: It is odourless, so it leaves food-contact surfaces without the smell a scented sanitiser can transfer into product.
Low foam for equipment: It is low-foaming, so it clears and drains cleanly rather than sitting as suds in equipment and machinery.
Holds its strength in storage: The concentrate is stable to light and heat and does not lose potency over time, so a part-used drum is still at full strength next time you need it.
One product across the whole plant: The same concentrate covers food equipment, benches, floors and drains, so a site is not buying and storing a separate product for each area.
