Agar Portacare 1L Portable Toilet Chemical & Waste Tank Sanitiser

Portable and cassette toilet waste tanks need an additive that manages odours and organic waste between emptying. Agar Portacare 1L is a concentrated blue liquid sanitiser and portable toilet chemical designed for portable toilets, cassette toilets, sewage holding tanks and sanitary pan systems.

It is particularly suited to caravan, camper, mobile home and RV toilet waste tanks where odour control, waste breakdown and predictable dosing are important between disposal stops.

Portacare contains surfactants that reduce surface tension and separate organic matter from the tank walls, allowing the treated waste to wash away more readily. A deodoriser and citrus perfume address unpleasant odours, while the strong blue liquid masks the appearance of the tank contents.

The formula also controls bacteria levels, helping reduce gas build-up inside the waste tank. When used as directed, Portacare will not harm tank seals and assists with the breakdown of sewage and toilet paper before the tank is emptied.

Portable Toilet Chemical for Caravans, Cassette Toilets and Holding Tanks

Portacare gives caravan owners and transport operators a measured treatment for toilet waste tanks where capacity, waste load and emptying intervals vary. The liquid format allows the dose to be adjusted according to the tank size and application rather than relying on a fixed-dose tablet or sachet.

It can be used as a caravan toilet chemical, cassette toilet chemical, portable toilet sanitiser and waste tank additive, as well as for suitable commercial transport holding tanks.

Waste Tank Care for Caravans and Commercial Transport

• Odour control: Portacare contains a deodoriser and citrus perfume to address unpleasant odours inside portable and cassette toilet waste tanks.
• Reduced gas build up: Portacare controls bacteria levels, which reduces gas forming inside the waste tank.
• Tank seal compatibility: Portacare will not harm tank seals when it is used as directed.
• Waste and paper breakdown: The liquid breaks down sewage and toilet paper before the tank is emptied.
• Tank wall cleaning action: Surfactants reduce surface tension, attack and encapsulate dirt and organic matter and help separate waste from the tank walls so the treated waste can be washed away more easily.
• Commercial holding tank use: Separate dosing guidance supports bus and aircraft holding tanks with different waste loads and discharge intervals.
• High treatment yield: A 1 litre bottle provides approximately 13 full standard treatments for a 10 litre waste tank when dosed at 75mL per treatment, supporting measured product use per service.

Before first use: Empty and rinse the tank to remove all traces of other additives.

Portable toilet waste tanks: Add 75ml of Portacare per 10 litres of waste tank capacity, then add 2 litres of water.

Cassette toilet waste tanks: Add 75ml of Portacare per 10 litres of waste tank capacity, then add 3 litres of water.

Longer emptying intervals: If the tank cannot be emptied within one week, increase the dose to 120 to 150ml per 10 litres of waste tank capacity.

Bus and aircraft holding tanks: Add 20 to 50ml per 10 litres of tank capacity. Match the dose to the waste load and time between discharge.

Caravans, mobile homes and RVs: Identify whether the vehicle uses a cassette toilet or a larger holding tank, then follow the matching method above.

Emptying interval: Empty the waste tank at least once a week where practical.

Chemical compatibility: Do not mix Portacare with other chemicals. Oxidising agents, soaps and anionic detergents are incompatible with Portacare.

Danger: Causes severe skin burns and eye damage.

Keep out of reach of children.
Do not breathe mists.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye or face protection.
Wash contacted areas thoroughly after handling.
Keep the container tightly closed and store it locked up.
Keep Portacare away from oxidising agents, soaps and anionic detergents.
If swallowed: Rinse the mouth. Do not induce vomiting. Immediately call the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 or contact a doctor.

If on skin or hair: Remove contaminated clothing immediately and rinse the skin with water. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
If inhaled: Move the person to fresh air and keep them comfortable for breathing. Seek medical advice if irritation develops or continues.
If in eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses when present and easy to remove, continue rinsing and obtain immediate medical attention.
Major spill: Keep unnecessary and unprotected people away. Prevent product from entering drains or waterways, contain the spill and use an appropriate absorbent material. Call emergency services for a significant release.

Portacare and its surfactants are biodegradable. The undiluted product is toxic to aquatic life and must not enter stormwater drains, driveways, soil or waterways.

Dispose of contents in accordance with local council and regulatory requirements. Do not pour concentrated Portacare into stormwater drains.

Do not reuse the container for food, drinks or animal feed. Empty the container completely, rinse it with water and add the rinsings to the waste tank before sending accepted HDPE or PET packaging for recycling.
