Fast-drying solvent for glass, stainless and adhesive marks

Cleaning teams working across glass, mirrors and stainless steel need something that lifts fingerprints, tape residue and ink without leaving a film or forcing a second wipe. Water and general detergents tend to smear on these smooth surfaces and slow the job down.

Agar Isopropyl Alcohol is a 5Lt isopropyl alcohol (isopropanol) solvent cleaner and surface sanitiser. Cleaners reach for it on smooth, non-porous surfaces where a quick, residue-free finish matters.

On those surfaces the alcohol dissolves the oils, tape residue and ink so they wipe straight off, then evaporates quickly and leaves a streak-free finish. Diluted to a 65% solution with water, the same product also works as a surface sanitiser on high-contact points such as taps, door handles and toilet seats.

One 5Lt bottle covers spot cleaning, glass work and touchpoint sanitising from a single container, which keeps a cleaner's kit simple. Use it as directed, with the current PDS and SDS on hand for staff and site cleaning records.

How the alcohol lifts marks and sanitises at 65%

Isopropyl alcohol works as a fast-evaporating solvent. Its solvent action dissolves the resins in adhesive tape glue, cosmetics and some inks, and it cuts the oils behind fingerprints and smears, so residue wipes away instead of dragging across the surface.

Because the liquid evaporates quickly, the surface is left to dry on its own with a streak-free finish, which is why it suits glass, mirrors and stainless steel where any film would show.

At a 65% dilution with water, isopropyl alcohol also works as a sanitiser on hard, high-contact surfaces. Mix it to that strength when the job is to sanitise touchpoints such as taps and handles rather than only clean them.

How to Use Agar Isopropyl Alcohol:
Spot and residue removal: apply neat to a clean cloth and rub directly onto the tape residue, ink or mark.
Glass and mirrors: use neat, or dilute 1 part alcohol to 5 parts water.
Sanitising touchpoints: make a 65% solution by adding 55ml of water to each 100ml of product, then wipe the surface and allow it to air dry.
Always test a small, inconspicuous area first, since the alcohol can affect rubber and some plastics.
Contact time is not stated in the current PDS. Check the current product documents if a set dwell time is needed.
Do not mix with other chemicals.

Suitable for:
Glass, windows and mirrors, where it dries to a streak-free finish.
Stainless steel benches, sinks and fittings.
Smooth, non-porous hard surfaces marked with tape residue, oils, ink or cosmetics.
High-contact touchpoints such as taps, door handles, door touch-plates and toilet seats, when diluted to a 65% sanitising solution.

Not suitable for:

Rubber and some plastics, which the alcohol can soften, make sticky or change in appearance. Test a small hidden area first.
