Description

Removes gum, grease, tar and sticky tape residue

Some marks just laugh at detergent. Chewing gum ground into carpet, tar walked in off the car park, tape and label residue stuck to glass and benches, grease and oil off tools. You can go at them with an ordinary cleaner and only spread the mess around.

G-Solve is the bottle you reach for when that happens. It is a solvent-based spotter that dissolves the sticky, oily stuff so it lifts or scrapes away cleanly instead of smearing. Agar make it as a pre-spotter for carpet and clothing, and it does the same work on hard surfaces, metals and paintwork.

It handles the usual troublemakers: chewing gum, tar, grease, oil, wax, rubber marks, tape and label adhesive, metal polish, some inks, even silicone and Blu-Tack. Because there is detergent in the blend, whatever it loosens washes out with water or an extraction detergent rather than leaving a greasy ring behind.

You use it neat, straight from the bottle. Dab it on with a cloth for carpet, or pour it onto gum and tape residue and let it soften before you scrape. Rinse the area afterwards, both to clear the residue and because a solvent can leave a surface slippery until it is washed off. One thing to watch: it can attack some rubber and soft plastic, so always test a hidden spot first on those materials. The current SDS and PDS are on hand for staff and site records.

Key Futures:

Dissolves the marks detergent cannot shift: gum, tar, grease, oil, wax, rubber marks, tape and label adhesive and some inks all come away instead of smearing around.

Works on carpet and hard surfaces alike: pre-spot carpet and clothing, then reach for the same bottle to lift tape residue, oil and grease off glass, metal, paintwork and benches.

Washes out with water: the detergent in the blend means you rinse the loosened mark away rather than leaving a greasy film on the surface.

Used neat with no mixing: it goes on straight from the bottle, dabbed, poured or wiped onto the mark, so staff are not stopping to measure a dilution.

5Lt pack for regular use: the larger size suits cleaners and maintenance crews working through repeat gum, grease and residue jobs across a site.

Suitable for:

  • Carpet, as a pre-spotter before rinsing or extraction
  • Clothing, as a spot treatment before washing
  • Hard surfaces, metals and paintwork

Test first: G-Solve can attack some rubber and soft plastic surfaces, so always try a hidden spot before using it on those materials.

Usage Guidelines

Carpet Spotting:
Pre-Test: Ensure that no colors run by testing G-SOLVE on a small, inconspicuous area first.
Application: Apply G-SOLVE to a clean, pale-colored cloth and dab the stain, working from the edge towards the center.
Blot: Use a clean cloth or towel to blot the stain.
Rinse: Flush with clean water or use an extraction detergent (EXIT or CITRUS EXTRA) after pre-spotting.
Removing Adhesives or Chewing Gum:
Scrape: Remove excess material from the surface.
Apply: Pour G-SOLVE onto the residue and allow it to penetrate.
Scrape: Work in with a scraper to lift off the gum or adhesive.
Rinse: Remove any remaining residue with more G-SOLVE and rinse with water.
Felt-Pen Graffiti:
Test: Check G-SOLVE compatibility on a hidden area.
Apply: Spray G-SOLVE directly onto the graffiti and wipe off immediately.
Clothing:
Spot Treatment: Spray collars, cuffs, and stains with G-SOLVE.
Launder: Wash clothing as usual.
Industrial Cleaning:
Application: Use G-SOLVE to remove oil, grease, tar, and other oil-soluble stains from metals, paintwork, and hard surfaces.

FAQ

Q. What does G-Solve remove?

A. It dissolves chewing gum, tar, grease, oil, wax, rubber marks, tape and label adhesive and some inks off carpet, clothing and hard surfaces, then rinses away with water.

Q. Do I have to rinse it off?

A. Yes, always rinse with water. There is detergent in the blend that leaves a film if it is left on, and it can make floors slippery until it is washed off.

Q. Can I use it to get tape residue off glass and windows?

A. Yes, wipe or pour a little onto the residue, let it soften, then lift it with a plastic blade and rinse. Test a small area first and finish glass with a glass cleaner.

Q. Does it need diluting?

A. No, use it neat straight from the bottle, dabbed on with a cloth for carpet or poured onto gum and tape residue.

Q. What should I keep it away from?

A. Test rubber and soft plastic on a hidden spot before treating them, because the solvent can attack some of those materials. On everything else, pre-test for colourfastness the way you would with any spotter.

Q. Is it safe on metal?

A. Yes, it lifts oil, grease and tar off metals and paintwork without harming the metal itself. Rinse the surface with water once the mark is gone.
