Agar Fast Glass Spray and Wipe Glass Cleaner 5Lt

Shopfront glass shows every finger mark by mid morning, and the cabinet fronts and the mirror behind the counter are no better. Most sprays leave a film that catches the light an hour later, so the cleaner ends up back on the same pane with a dry cloth. Presentation glass gets judged from a metre away, in daylight.

Agar Fast Glass is a ready to use spray and wipe cleaner for glass, stainless steel, chrome and perspex. Oil, greasy films, lipstick and finger marks come off windows and display cabinets without a filmy streak left behind, on a light blue liquid with a slight alcohol odour and a pH of 10.7 to 11.7.

Why fast evaporation means less wiping

Speed is the whole trick here. Dirt gets attacked fast, then the cleaner evaporates quickly, so a pane comes up with less wiping than a slower spray needs. Less wiping across a shopfront round is where the labour saving actually lands.

Retail counters, display cases and the mirrors in a fitout all sit on the same round, and this is the bottle that goes with the cleaner doing it. Both the current Safety Data Sheet and the current Product Data Sheet are available for the site folder, so the paperwork side is settled before the first bottle goes out.

One bottle for the glass, steel, chrome and perspex on the round: Windows, mirrors, display cabinets, stainless steel benches and chrome fittings all take the same trigger, and perspex panels do too. Nobody has to swap bottles between the shopfront and the cabinet frames.

Two year shelf life on a bulk bottle: Shelf life is a minimum of two years between 5°C and 50°C, so a 5Lt sitting in the store cupboard between window rounds is not a race against the clock.

Not classified as Dangerous Goods: Storage and transport stay ordinary, so the 5Lt lives in the cleaner's cupboard and travels in the van without Dangerous Goods handling.

How to use Agar Fast Glass: it is used as supplied, at full strength, with no dilution.

1. Spray a light mist onto the surface.
2. Polish dry with a paper towel or a clean lint free cloth.
3. If a film or a smear remains, repeat the application and polish again to take off the last of the soilage.

Safety and storage:

Agar Fast Glass causes serious eye irritation, and that is the one real risk to manage on the product. Wear eye or face protection while spraying, and wash contacted areas thoroughly after handling. Gloves are worth wearing where skin contact is likely.
Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes if it gets in the eyes. Remove contact lenses where they are in and easy to take out, then keep rinsing. Where the irritation persists, get medical attention. The Poisons Information Centre is on 13 1126 from anywhere in Australia.
Use it in a well ventilated area. Where the natural ventilation is not enough, put a fan on the space.
Keep containers tightly closed in storage, and away from strong oxidising agents.

Environmental and disposal:

Agar Fast Glass is biodegradable, phosphate free and non flammable. Leftover product from a job goes into a drain or trough that runs to the sewer or a septic tank, where it gets treated and broken down. Keep it out of stormwater drains and off driveways, because those drains carry rainwater to the local river system.
