Agar Dry Foam Carpet Shampoo Concentrate 5Lt

For machine carpet cleaning on wool, nylon and synthetic carpet.
Agar Dry Foam Carpet Shampoo is a 5Lt concentrated carpet shampoo for rotary scrubbing machines.
A water-dilutable concentrate that cleans with dry foam instead of soaking the pile, so the carpet backing stays dry.
As the foam dries it turns to a non-oily crystal that vacuums out, leaving no sticky film to draw in new dirt.

Description

Carpets in offices, venues and busy public areas grey off between deep cleans, and the usual fix, a soaking wet extraction, leaves the pile damp for hours and the floor out of action.

Agar Dry Foam Carpet Shampoo is a concentrated carpet shampoo that cleans with rich foam rather than a flood of water. Whipped up under a rotary scrubbing machine, the foam lifts and holds soil in the pile without wetting the carpet backing.

As it dries, the dirt sets into a crystal you vacuum out

As the carpet dries, the shampoo and the soil it has lifted set into a brittle, non-oily crystal. A dry vacuum lifts that residue away with the dirt trapped inside it, and the anti-resoiling resins in the formula keep the pile looking cleaner for longer between cleans.

The result is a low-moisture clean that suits regular maintenance on washable carpet, backed by a current SDS and PDS for the paperwork facilities and auditors expect.

Where it can be used:

Agar Dry Foam Carpet Shampoo is made for carpet with washable fibres.

  • Wool carpet
  • Nylon carpet
  • Synthetic-blend carpet

That covers most of the cut-pile and loop carpet found in offices, hospitality venues, schools and accommodation, wherever the fibres are washable.

Key Futures:

Low-moisture clean, floors back in use sooner: The rich foam lifts soil without soaking the carpet backing, so the pile dries faster than a wet extraction clean and the area returns to service quickly.

No sticky film to pull dirt straight back: As it dries, the shampoo and trapped soil set into a brittle, non-oily crystal you vacuum out, and anti-resoiling resins keep the carpet looking cleaner between cleans.

A concentrate that stretches across the run: Diluted with water for each job, one 5Lt drum covers many carpet cleans before you reorder, which keeps the cost per clean low on regular contract work.

One drum for every washable pile on site: It cleans wool, nylon and synthetic-blend carpet, so a single product handles the mixed carpet types across an office, venue or accommodation floor.

Made to foam under a rotary machine: Whipped into foam by a nylon brush, it suits the rotary scrubbing gear commercial carpet cleaners already run rather than needing a separate extraction unit.

Usage Guidelines

How to use: Agar Dry Foam Carpet Shampoo is a concentrate applied with a rotary scrubbing machine.

1. Move light furniture out of the room and lift heavier items where you can. Put foil or a moisture barrier under any legs left in place so the damp pile does not mark them.
2. Put out a cleaning-in-progress sign.
3. Dry-vacuum the carpet first to lift loose dust and grit.
4. Dilute the concentrate with water: 1 part shampoo to 10 parts water for heavier soiling, out to 1 part to 20 for light soiling.
5. Apply the diluted shampoo and run a rotary scrubbing machine fitted with a nylon brush, working the foam evenly through the pile.
6. Let the carpet dry, then vacuum to lift the crystallised residue and the soil held in it. If you prefer, wet-vacuum with clean water in the tank instead, taking care not to over-wet the carpet.

Do not mix Agar Dry Foam Carpet Shampoo with other chemicals unless the label or SDS states it can be done.

FAQ

Q. Can I use this in a hot water extraction or home carpet-washer machine?

A. No. This is a high-foaming shampoo made for rotary scrubbing machines with a nylon brush. Extraction machines and home upright washers need a low-foaming detergent, and heavy foam can flood their recovery tanks. For those machines, pick a low-foam extraction cleaner instead.

Q. How long before we can use the room again?

A. Let the carpet dry fully, then vacuum up the crystallised residue before the area goes back into use. Because the dry foam uses far less water than a soaking wet clean, it dries faster, and fans or open windows speed it along. Wool pile holds moisture longer than nylon or synthetics.

Q. The carpet looked clean but marks came back a day later. Why?

A. That is usually wicking: soil or an old spill deep in the backing rises to the surface as the carpet dries, rather than anything left by the shampoo. Vacuum again once fully dry and re-treat the patch. Backing that stays contaminated may need a carpet technician's extraction.

Q. Will using more shampoo get the carpet cleaner?

A. No. More concentrate does not clean better and leaves extra residue to vacuum out while slowing drying. Stick to the recommended dilution, apply a light even foam and let the brushing do the work. A heavier dose mostly means more to remove afterwards.

Q. Can I use it on wool carpet?

A. Yes. It cleans carpet with washable fibres, which includes wool, nylon and synthetic blends. On older or unlabelled wool, test a small hidden area first and use the lighter end of the dilution for delicate pile.

Q. Should I just hire a carpet cleaning machine instead?

A. Hiring an extraction machine such as a Rug Doctor suits an occasional deep clean if you can leave the carpet several hours to dry. This concentrate runs in a rotary scrubbing machine, uses less water so carpets dry faster, and works out cheaper per clean once you are cleaning carpet regularly.traction machines, you should use a low-foaming detergent.

Safety Information & Environmental Impact

Safety and storage: The concentrate carries the signal word DANGER. It causes skin irritation and causes serious eye damage. Once diluted to the in-use strength it is no longer classified as hazardous.

Wear protective gloves and eye or face protection when handling the concentrate.
Wash your hands thoroughly after handling.
Keep out of reach of children.
Keep containers tightly closed and store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
First aid: On skin, wash gently with plenty of water. In the eyes, rinse cautiously with flowing water for several minutes, remove contact lenses if present, keep rinsing and get medical attention. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting, rinse the mouth, sip water and contact the Poisons Information Centre on 13 1126.

Spills: Minor spills need no special measures. For a larger spill, keep the product out of drains and waterways, contain it and absorb it with sand or another inert material, then collect it for disposal.

Environmental and disposal: The concentrate is biodegradable and non-flammable, but it is harmful to aquatic life, so keep it out of stormwater drains and waterways. Diluted used water can go to sewer or a septic system where local rules allow. Empty containers can be recycled, or returned to Agar to be cleaned and reused. Dispose of in accordance with local council and regulatory requirements, and refer to Section 13 of the current SDS for disposal.
