Commercial carpets in offices, hotels and hospitality floors take a beating, and the soil that walks in settles deep in the pile where a vacuum cannot reach it. Citrus Extra is a concentrated carpet pre spray detergent that you dilute, spray on and then extract, lifting that ground in soil out with the wash water. The one product covers every carpet a cleaning run turns up, from hard wearing acrylics to new generation stain resistant nylons and pure wool.

The cleaning comes from natural orange oils, which loosen grease and hold the soil in suspension so the extraction wand can carry it away. Being low alkaline, the formulation cleans without the harshness that can grey out wool or lift the finish on stain resistant fibres. One part to thirty parts water handles light to medium soil, while one part to twenty deals with heavily walked in traffic lanes.

Because it is free rinsing, a single pass of clean water takes the detergent back out with the soil instead of leaving a sticky film that pulls dirt straight back in. That keeps carpets looking cleaner for longer, with no need to dose the solution tank or run a separate rinse. Biodegradable plant based surfactants and no added phosphates keep it straightforward to use, and the Safety Data Sheet and Product Data Sheet are on hand for your site records.

Use Citrus Extra as a pre spray before hot water extraction.

Dilution: one part Citrus Extra to thirty parts water for light to medium soil, or one part to twenty parts water for heavy soil.

1.Remove litter from the carpet and vacuum thoroughly.
2. Move furniture, or place foil under the legs to protect them.
3. Mix the diluted pre spray at the ratio for the soil level.
4. Spray it evenly onto the carpet. Do not add any chemicals to the extraction tank.
5. Allow a dwell time of 3 to 5 minutes.
6. Extract with clean warm water, around 55 degrees C for stain resistant carpets or 70 to 75 degrees C for other carpet types. Cold water works if warm is not available.
7. Avoid overwetting, and provide ventilation so the carpet dries as quickly as possible.
