Agar Breeze Detergent Air Freshener Concentrate 5Lt

A room can be clean and still smell wrong. The floor gets mopped, the bins go out, and by mid afternoon the smell has drifted back from a grout line, a drain or a bin room. The gap between clean and smelling clean is what Breeze is for.

Agar Breeze is a concentrated detergent air freshener that washes floors, walls, glass and fittings the way a general detergent does, and perfumes them at the same time. Surfactants in the concentrate attack and disperse the soil. Perfume extracts cling to the surface behind them, and that is what people are actually buying: a sweet fruity smell that stays put.

How Agar Breeze cleans surfaces and controls persistent odours

The perfume goes over the smell rather than breaking it down. On a putrid odour the source has to come out first, because perfume laid over a live source buys a little time and nothing more. There is no disinfectant or sanitiser claim on Breeze either, so a site that needs a kill step runs a disinfectant as a separate job.

Washrooms, problem toilet areas and kennels are what most buyers pick Breeze up for, but the surfaces it is made for are ordinary ones: floors, walls, glass, fittings and tiled areas. A corridor, a function space or a change room is the same set of surfaces, and the perfume does the same thing there. 

Key benefits:

The room still smells cleaned at three in the afternoon: Perfume extracts keep releasing off the surface through the day instead of fading out with the mop water. Anyone walking in knows the space has been cleaned.

One dilution chart covers three different jobs: General cleaning runs at 1 in 50 to 1 in 100, putrid odours drop to 1 in 10, and a room spray mixes at 1 in 30 through a hand spraygun.

A 5Lt bottle makes 500 litres of mopping water: General cleaning takes about two thirds of a cup in a wringer bucket. Weekly runs come out of one bottle for a long time.

General cleaning of floors, walls, glass and fittings: Dilute 1 in 50 to 1 in 100 with water, depending on how soiled the surface is. That is roughly two thirds of a cup to a wringer bucket. Mop or wipe the surface.

Offensive, putrid odours: Remove the source of the odour first. Mop or rinse the area with a 1 in 10 solution, and do not rinse it off afterwards. Where the odour is extreme, neat Breeze can go on.

Freshening a room: Dilute 1 in 30 with water and spray high into the room with a hand spraygun. That is the room spray rate, not the mopping rate, so mix it separately.

Mixing: Do not mix Breeze with other chemicals unless the label or SDS states it can be done.

Safety and Environmental Considerations:

Diluted Breeze, which is what most people use: At 1 in 2.5 with water or weaker, Breeze is no longer a hazardous chemical, and every dilution on the chart sits well past that point. At 1 in 10, eye protection is not required under normal conditions and no special ventilation is needed.

Handling the concentrate: Undiluted Breeze causes serious eye irritation, so eye or face protection goes on before decanting or diluting. Prevent skin contact with impervious gloves, and wash contacted areas thoroughly after handling. Keep out of reach of children.

First aid: If it gets in the eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes, remove contact lenses if present and easy to do, and keep rinsing. If eye irritation persists, get medical attention. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting: wash the mouth out and drink some water, then call the Poisons Information Centre on 13 1126 if symptoms develop or you are in doubt.

Storage: Keep containers tightly closed and keep the concentrate away from oxidising agents. Breeze is not a Dangerous Good under the ADG Code.

Used solutions: Pour used Breeze solutions into a drain or trough that leads to the sewer system or a septic tank, where the waste gets treated and broken down. Keep them out of stormwater drains and off driveways, because those drains carry rainwater to the local river system. Undiluted Breeze is harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects.

Unused product: Keep it and use it up, or pass it to someone who can, in its original labelled container. Where there is no alternative, modest quantities can go down the drain to sewer with running water, leaving the cold tap running for a few moments afterwards. Do not mix different cleaning products together during disposal.

Formulation: The detergent base is biodegradable and phosphate free, and Breeze is non-flammable.
