Agar Bowl Clean is a thickened, acid-based antibacterial cleaner for toilets, urinals, basins and tiled washroom surfaces, supplied here in a 5Lt bottle. How Bowl Clean clears scale, stains and odour in one application

The thick liquid clings to vertical porcelain and under the rim instead of running straight into the water, holding the acid against scale, rust marks and soilage until they dissolve. That contact time is what separates it from thin cleaners that need constant reapplying.

Cuts the chemical count on the trolley: one application cleans, removes scale, kills household germs and deodorises, so one bottle does the work of a bowl cleaner, a descaler and a separate deodoriser.

A 5Lt bottle goes a long way: the toilet dose is 40ml, which works out at around 125 bowl treatments per bottle, and it stretches further again diluted 1 in 3 for regular cleaning.

Doubles as a washroom floor and wall cleaner: diluted 1 in 50 it cleans tiled floors, walls and shower recesses, so periodic deep cleans run off the same bottle as the daily bowl round.

No etching on stainless steel: scale and rusty watermarks dissolve while stainless steel urinals, sinks and fittings stay unmarked, even through prolonged contact.

Odour handled in the bowl, not over it: germ kill at the recommended dose plus a potpourri fragrance deodorises toilets and urinals where the smell starts, rather than masking it with an air freshener.

Bowl Clean can be used neat or diluted 1 in 3 with water for regular cleaning.

Toilets:

1. Pour 40ml of Bowl Clean into the bowl, under the rim.
2. Scrub all surfaces with a nylon toilet brush.
3. Leave for 5 to 10 minutes of contact time.
4. Flush the toilet.
Used at the 40ml quantity, Bowl Clean kills household germs. Keep it off the toilet seat and lid.

Urinals:

1. Apply Bowl Clean neat to the surface.
2. Scrub all surfaces with a nylon brush.
3. Leave for a few minutes to activate.
4. Flush the urinal.

Tiled floors and walls: dilute 1 in 50 with water. Keep it off marble, terrazzo, Formica and Laminex.

Never mix Bowl Clean with other chemicals, and never with bleach.
