How Autodish works in a commercial dishwashing machine

A commercial kitchen dishwasher runs hundreds of cycles a shift, and baked-on grease, protein and dried food quickly beat a detergent that was never built for that load. Agar Autodish is an industrial-strength machine detergent for professional dishwashing systems, made to keep up with a full service.

Autodish is a chlorinated liquid concentrate that plumbs into your machine's automatic detergent dispenser. The dispenser meters it into the wash water and keeps it at the correct strength through every cycle, so the wash does not weaken as the kitchen gets busy. Its strong alkaline action lifts foodstuffs and grease fast.

The concentrate carries available chlorine as part of the wash, and it rinses off freely so crockery, glassware and cutlery come out clean and ready to go straight back into service. It suits commercial and institutional machines that dose detergent automatically.

Take care with polished or anodised coloured aluminium-ware, lead crystal and hand-painted china, which machine washing can affect. Follow the item maker's washing directions for those pieces.

How to use Autodish:

Autodish is dosed automatically. It connects to the dishwashing machine's detergent dispenser unit, which draws it into the wash water and keeps it at the right strength through every cycle.

Set the dispenser to hold Autodish at 0.15% concentration in the wash water. Correct dispenser adjustment gives trouble-free running, with dishes coming out clean and sparkling.

Run it through automatic machine dosing only, not by hand and not by manual measuring. Keep the machine well maintained so it rinses and drains properly and items dry well.

Do not mix Autodish with other chemicals unless the label or safety data sheet states it can be done.

Safety and storage:

Autodish is a caustic, chlorinated concentrate, classified as a Class 8 corrosive liquid (UN 1719). Handle it with care and keep it in its original, closed container.

Wear gloves and eye protection, and avoid contact with skin and eyes. Keep the container closed and out of reach of children.

First aid: if it is splashed in the eyes or on the face, hold the eyes open and flood with water for at least 15 minutes, then seek immediate medical attention. For skin contact, remove contaminated clothing and wash the area for 15 minutes. If it is swallowed, do not induce vomiting, give a glass of water if the person is conscious, and call a doctor straight away.

Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, and away from incompatible chemicals.

Environmental and disposal:

Autodish is non-flammable and biodegradable, and it conforms with statutory environmental requirements.

Dispose of in accordance with local council and regulatory requirements. Do not pour concentrated product down stormwater drains. Refer to Section 13 of the current safety data sheet for disposal requirements.
