In a gym, an office or a busy reception, the same handles, benches and touch points get used by one person after another all day. Between users there is rarely time to clean, rinse and wait, so the sanitising step has to be quick and it has to leave the surface ready to use straight away.

Agar AS-60 is a ready to use, alcohol based surface sanitiser made for that kind of turnaround. It comes in a 5Lt bottle, and you either spray it straight onto the surface or wipe it on with a cloth. Once it is on, it dries by itself, so there is nothing to rinse off and nothing to wipe away before the next person.

The alcohol carrier flashes off fast and leaves no film, smear or sticky residue, which is what makes it practical on equipment grips, benches, rails and door furniture that someone will take hold of again a minute later. Clean the surface first to lift sweat, dust and soil, then finish with AS-60 as the sanitising step.

The same alcohol base dissolves certain resins, inks, cosmetics, fats and oils, and lifts sticky tape residue, fingerprints and smears from hard surfaces, so glass, mirrors and stainless steel come up clear without streaking. Current SDS and PDS are available for staff, workplace records and site cleaning procedures.

Where AS-60 can be used:

• Hotplates when cold, not when hot.

Use with care on: hot surfaces and electronics. Let hotplates cool before you sanitise them, and never spray AS-60 straight onto screens or live electrical parts. Put it on a cloth and wipe those down instead.

AS-60 is ready to use, so there is no dilution. Clean the surface first, then use AS-60 as the final sanitising step.

On general hard surfaces:

1. Clean the surface and remove any visible soil.
2. Apply AS-60 directly to the surface, or wipe it on with a clean cloth soaked in the product.
3. Spread it evenly so the whole surface is covered.
4. Let the surface air dry. Do not wipe or rinse it off.

On food contact surfaces: clean the bench, board or utensil first, apply AS-60 as the final sanitiser, and let it dry fully before the surface is used for food again.

On healthcare equipment: wipe the item down with a cloth soaked in AS-60 and let it air dry.

Around electronics: do not spray AS-60 straight onto screens or live electrical parts. Spray a little onto a cloth and wipe the device instead.

Because AS-60 is alcohol based and flammable, keep it and the freshly treated surface away from heat, sparks and open flames while it dries.
