Description

Agar Antifoam Defoamer Emulsion Concentrate

Agar Antifoam is a powerful defoamer emulsion concentrate specifically designed to break down unwanted foam in machine recovery tanks. When cleaning carpets or scrubbing floors with detergents, foam build-up in the waste tank can trigger vacuum shut-off valves prematurely, wasting time and reducing efficiency. Agar Antifoam eliminates this problem by instantly collapsing foam bubbles, allowing you to utilise the full capacity of your recovery tank and protecting your vacuum motor from moisture damage.

Stop Foam Build-Up and Protect Your Equipment

Excessive foam is a common issue in carpet extraction and automatic floor scrubbing, often caused by detergent residue in carpets or high-foaming cleaning solutions. If left unchecked, foam can bypass the vacuum float shut-off and enter the motor, causing expensive damage. Agar Antifoam acts rapidly to neutralise this foam on contact. By adding a small amount to your recovery tank, you ensure uninterrupted operation, reduce the frequency of tank emptying, and extend the lifespan of your expensive cleaning machinery.

Versatile Application for All Cleaning Machines

This concentrated emulsion is suitable for use in all types of liquid recovery systems.

  • Carpet Extractors: Prevents residual shampoo from foaming up in the waste tank, allowing for faster cleaning runs.
  • Automatic Floor Scrubbers: Keeps the recovery tank foam-free, ensuring the vacuum system maintains strong suction to dry floors effectively.
  • Wet Vacuum Cleaners: Enhances vacuum efficiency by breaking down foam before it can cause blockages or overflow.

Usage Instructions

Agar Antifoam is highly concentrated and very economical. It must be added to the recovery (waste) tank, not the clean solution tank.

  • For Carpet Extractors and Floor Scrubbers: Pour 10–20 ml of Agar Antifoam directly into the recovery tank before starting the machine. Monitor the tank level during the job and add more if excessive foam persists.
  • For Wet Vacuum Cleaners: Add 10–20 ml to the recovery tank, or suck a small amount of diluted Antifoam through the vacuum hose to coat the inside of the system before tackling the foam spill.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Can I put this in the clean water tank?

A. No. Antifoam is designed for the dirty water (recovery) tank. Putting it in the clean water tank may stop your cleaning detergent from working correctly.

Q. Why is my machine cutting out when the tank isn't full?

A. This is usually caused by foam triggering the float valve. The machine "thinks" the tank is full of water, but it is actually full of bubbles. Using Agar Antifoam solves this immediately.

Q. Is this product biodegradable?

A. Yes, Agar Antifoam contains biodegradable surfactants, making it an environmentally responsible choice for controlling foam in wastewater.

Q. How much do I need to use?

A. You only need a very small amount, typically 10 to 20 ml per tank load is sufficient to control foam.
