Description
Foam is the thing that wrecks a good extraction run. When you pull detergent and old shampoo residue out of a carpet, the waste churns into froth in the recovery tank, the float valve reads that froth as a full tank, and the machine cuts out long before it should. On a heavy job you can lose a third of your tank to bubbles and burn the shift emptying froth instead of dirty water.
Agar Antifoam is a silicone-based defoamer concentrate that collapses that froth on contact. A small dose tipped into the recovery tank breaks the bubbles back to liquid, so the float sees real water again and the machine keeps pulling. The knockdown is quick, which counts when foam is already climbing toward the vacuum inlet in the middle of a job.
Keep the vacuum motor dry and the tank working
Left to climb, foam reaches the vacuum motor, and the moisture it carries corrodes and eventually kills the motor on an expensive machine. Knock the froth down and the recovery tank holds dirty water instead of air, while the motor stays clear of the wet muck it should never pull through. One 5Lt bottle goes a long way at 10 to 20ml a tank, so a single buy covers weeks of daily extraction and scrubbing.
What you get from it:
Get your full tank back: Foam can steal up to a third of your recovery tank before the float trips. A dose of Antifoam collapses it to liquid so the tank holds dirty water, not bubbles, and you stop pulling up to empty half a load of froth.
Protect an expensive vacuum motor: Once foam climbs past the float it heads for the motor, and the moisture rots it over time. Knocking the foam down keeps the recovery tank clear so the motor stays dry and lasts.
A little goes a long way: At 10 to 20ml a tank, one 5Lt bottle covers weeks of daily extraction and scrubbing, which keeps the cost per job low on a busy commercial run.
Works across your whole fleet: The one concentrate suits carpet extractors, automatic floor scrubbers and wet vacuums, so a single bottle on the van covers every machine that builds foam.
Fast knockdown during the run: The silicone action breaks foam on contact, so when froth climbs mid-job you tip in a dose and keep working instead of stopping to bail out the tank.
