Description

Protein and food stains behave differently from everyday carpet soil. Blood, wine, milk, egg, ice-cream and chocolate bond to the fibre, and a general detergent wash often leaves a shadow of the spill sitting in the pile.

Agar Amsolve is a 5Lt alkaline carpet spot and stain remover made for exactly those spills: orange juice, soft drinks, wine, blood and protein-based foodstuffs. Diluted down, the same bottle becomes a pre-spray that rejuvenates heavily traffic-soiled synthetic fibre carpets.

Why an alkaline, ammoniated spotter shifts what detergent leaves behind

Certain stains only dissolve in an alkaline, ammoniated solution, and that is the chemistry at work here. Ammonia, detergents, builders and sequestering agents dissolve acidic and protein-based soils at a very fine level, releasing them from the fibre so they blot or extract straight out.

Cleaning teams get two jobs from one container: neat spotting through a spraygun, and a 1 part to 5 to 10 parts water pre-spray for restoring tired traffic lanes on acrylic, nylon and polyester carpets. Current SDS and PDS sit on this page for chemical registers and staff training.

Key benefits:

  • Removes food, protein and blood stains: Orange juice, soft drink, wine, blood, milk, egg, ice-cream and chocolate dissolve in the alkaline solution, so the spill lifts out instead of setting into the pile.
  • Brightens run-down synthetic carpets: Pre-sprayed at 1 part to 5 to 10 parts water, it loosens built-up traffic soil so acrylic, nylon and polyester carpets come up brighter after extraction.
  • One bottle, two jobs: Used neat it spots; diluted it restores, so the trolley carries one product for both tasks and reordering stays simple.
  • Directions staff can repeat: Spray neat, work from the outside in, blot, then rinse or extract. The same steps on every job keep results consistent across the team.
  • Biodegradable with documents on hand: The current PDS confirms Amsolve is biodegradable and non-flammable, and both SDS and PDS are linked for workplace records.

Where it can be used:

  • Spot and stain removal on carpets and washable fabrics.
  • Restoration pre-spraying of heavily traffic-soiled synthetic fibre carpets. The directions name acrylic, nylon and polyester, so keep the pre-spray to those fibres.

Usage Guidelines

Carpet spotting:

1. Absorb liquid spillage and scrape up or vacuum solid soilage before applying the spotter. Results are always best when spills are treated promptly.
2. Apply neat Amsolve from a spraygun directly onto the remaining stain. Do not over-wet the carpet.
3. Gently work the product into the stain from the outside towards the centre, then allow time to react.
4. Blot out the stain with a clean white cloth or paper towel, or extract the area with an extraction detergent solution.
5. Always rinse, neutralise or extract after spotting. Agar Neutraliser suits this step.

Carpet pre-spraying for restoration:

1. Dilute 1 part Amsolve with 5 to 10 parts water.
2. Uniformly pre-spray the dirty traffic areas of synthetic carpets such as acrylic, nylon and polyester.
3. Work in with a carpet rake or wand and allow 5 minutes to react.
4. Extract with water or a diluted solution of extraction detergent.

Before you start: some liquid preparations settle on standing, so shake the product before use if it has separated. Do not mix Amsolve with acids or other cleaning chemicals.

FAQ

Q. What stains does Agar Amsolve remove?

A. Carpet stains from orange juice, soft drinks, wine, blood and protein-based foodstuffs such as milk, egg, ice-cream and chocolate. It also rejuvenates heavily traffic-soiled synthetic fibre carpets when used as a diluted pre-spray.

Q. What dilution should I use?

A. Use it neat for spotting, applied from a spraygun directly onto the stain. For restoration pre-spraying of synthetic carpets, dilute 1 part Amsolve with 5 to 10 parts water.

Q. Does it need rinsing?

A. Yes. Always rinse, neutralise or extract the area after spotting; Agar Neutralizer suits the neutralising step, or extract with a diluted extraction detergent solution.

Q. Can I use it on wool carpet?

A. Keep the pre-spray for synthetic fibres such as acrylic, nylon and polyester, which are the carpets the directions cover; wool is not included in those directions.

Q. Is an SDS available?

A. Yes. The current GHS7 SDS and the PDS are both linked on this page, ready for chemical registers, site folders and staff training.

Q. Can it be mixed with other chemicals?

A. No. Amsolve is incompatible with acids, so apply it on its own and do not mix it with other cleaning chemicals unless the label or SDS says it is safe.
