Vacuum Bag & Filter Selection Matrix

Match the replacement part to the vacuum brand, exact model number, bag connection and filter position before ordering.

Vacuum bags and filters compared by machine family, compatible models and selection guidance.
Machine or maintenance need Recommended bag or filter Compatible models Selection guidance
Hoover H110 or H160-style bagged vacuums Hoover Allergy, Smart, Aura & Mode Dust Bags 10 Pack Synthetic replacement bags Selected Hoover Smart, Aura, Mode, Action Pets, Allergy and other machines using an H110 or H160-style bag connection. Check the model label and collar shape before ordering. A broad compatibility list does not mean every Hoover vacuum uses the same bag.
Pacvac Superpro backpack dust collection Pacvac Superpro Disposable Paper Dust Bags 10 Pack Commercial backpack bags Selected Pacvac Superpro-series backpack vacuums specified on the product page. Use for dry dust and debris only. Fit the disposable bag correctly inside the reusable bag or filtration chamber specified by the machine.
Pacvac Superpro pre-motor filtration Pacvac Superpro Cone HEPA Filter FIL001 Genuine Pacvac filter Pacvac Superpro-series machines listed for FIL001 compatibility. A filter and a dust bag perform different jobs. Replace the correct filter stage when it remains blocked, damaged or no longer cleans effectively.
Pullman PV900 or PL950 backpack vacuums Pullman PV900 & PL950 Fold-Over Dust Bags 12 Pack Open-ended synthetic bags Selected Pullman PV900, PL950 and compatible backpack systems identified on the product page. These open-ended bags fold over the vacuum body and sit inside the reusable cloth bag. They are not interchangeable with cardboard-collar canister bags.
Pullman CD1203 or PULL10LD canister vacuums Pullman CD1203 & PULL10LD Dust Bags 10 Pack Commercial canister bags Pullman CD1203 and PULL10LD 10L commercial vacuum cleaners. Confirm both the model and bag inlet shape. Similar 10L commercial vacuums may use different collars, seals or bag dimensions.
Numatic Henry-family bag replacement Numatic Henry, Hetty, George, James & Charles Bags 10 Pack NVM-1CH compatible Selected Numatic machines using the NVM-1CH bag system, including Henry, Hetty, George, James and Charles models listed on the product page. Check whether the machine uses the NVM-1CH system and follow the correct wet or dry setup. A dust bag does not make a vacuum suitable for liquid pickup.
Dyson V15 washable filter replacement Dyson V15 Detect HEPA Filters 2 Pack Compatible washable filters Dyson V15 Detect and V15s Submarine models specified on the product page, including selected SV22 and SV47 variants. These are compatible replacements rather than genuine Dyson parts. Wash only as directed and allow filters to dry completely before refitting.
Hoover Regal bagged vacuum filter refresh Hoover Regal 9001PH HEPA Filter Set Multi-stage filter kit Hoover Regal 9001 and 9001PH bagged vacuum cleaners. Use the kit to replace the specified filter stages, not the dust bag. Inspect hoses, seals and the bag as well if suction remains weak.
Miele GN-type bagged vacuum systems Miele 3D GN-Type Bags & Filters 12 Pack Compatible GN-type set Selected Miele Classic C1, Complete C2 and S-series machines using the GN bag type, as listed on the product page. Miele GN, FJM and other bag families are not interchangeable. Confirm the bag type printed on the existing bag, machine label or manual.

Before purchase: Use the full vacuum model number and, where available, the original bag or filter part number. Product shape alone is not a reliable compatibility check. Turn off and unplug corded machines before replacing bags or filters.

Vacuum Cleaner Bags & Filters FAQs

Compatibility, filtration, maintenance, Melbourne pickup and Australia-wide shipping answers.

Q. How do I find the correct vacuum bag or filter for my machine?

A. Start with the complete model number on the vacuum rating label, then compare the original bag or filter part number, collar shape, dimensions and filter position. Brand name alone is not enough because one brand can use several incompatible bag and filter systems. When unsure, contact Janitorial Depot with a clear photo of the model label and existing part.

Q. Can vacuum bags that look similar be used interchangeably?

A. Not safely. Bags can differ in collar size, sealing method, inlet position, capacity and whether they are designed for a backpack, canister or upright vacuum. A poor fit can leak dust, restrict airflow or allow debris to reach the motor.

Q. Are synthetic vacuum bags better than paper bags?

A. Synthetic bags are often selected for improved tear resistance, dust retention and airflow as the bag fills, while paper bags can be an economical option for compatible dry vacuuming. Performance is product-specific, so use the bag material and type approved for the machine and cleaning task.

Q. Can every HEPA or pre-motor filter be washed?

A. No. Wash only filters specifically described as washable by the manufacturer or product instructions. A washable filter must be rinsed correctly and allowed to dry completely before refitting. Installing a damp filter can restrict airflow and may damage the vacuum.

Q. Will a new bag or filter restore weak vacuum suction?

A. It can help when an overfilled bag or blocked filter is restricting airflow. Weak suction can also be caused by a blocked hose, worn seal, damaged floor tool, air leak or motor fault. If performance does not improve after routine maintenance, use the vacuum service and repair centre for diagnosis.

Q. What is the difference between genuine and compatible vacuum parts?

A. A genuine part is supplied by or for the vacuum manufacturer. A compatible part is made by another supplier for specified models. Either option must match the exact machine. Product pages should clearly identify whether the item is genuine or compatible so buyers can make an informed choice.

Q. How often should vacuum bags and filters be replaced?

A. There is no universal interval. Check bags and filters according to the machine manual and cleaning conditions. Replace a bag before it becomes overfilled, and clean or replace filters when airflow drops, the filter remains dirty after approved cleaning, or the material is damaged or misshapen.

Q. Does Janitorial Depot stock bags and filters for commercial and domestic vacuums?

A. Yes. The range covers commercial backpack and canister machines as well as household bagged, bagless, stick and selected robot vacuum systems. Browse brand-specific collections for Pacvac, Dyson, Hoover, Miele and Sauber.

Q. Can I collect vacuum bags and filters in Melbourne or order Australia-wide?

A. Yes. In-stock products can be collected from Janitorial Depot in Cranbourne West, Victoria. Local Melbourne delivery and Australia-wide shipping are available subject to the current shipping policy, product size, weight and destination.
